Welcome to Zilker

The Zilker neighborhood is where all of Austin comes to play. Zilker boasts access to its namesake park, Austin's beloved landmark established in the early 1900s. This park is considered the crown jewel of Austin's park system and consists of over 350 acres and the coveted Barton Springs Pool. Located just southwest of downtown, Zilker is a relatively small neighborhood bordered by Barton Springs Road to the north, Lamar Blvd to the east, and Zilker Park to the west. Residential options range from condominiums to duplexes to single-family homes, with new developments and properties springing up like wildfire. The neighborhood's original homes hail from the 1920s but considering Zilker's swoon-worthy location, many older homes are being replaced with properties that go for a million-plus. Walkable and close to tons of restaurants, bars, and entertainment, you are never far from Austin cool. Zilker is home to the Austin City Limits Music Festival in the fall and many other notable events year-round. The Zach Scott Theater, Palmer Events Center, and The Long Center are easily accessed by foot, scooter, or two-wheel transportation. Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Alamo Drafthouse, and The Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail on Lady Bird Lake are other Zilker standouts.
